Honestly, I’ll be surprised if this is still available shortly after this post goes live but someone should enjoy this. While doing some Craigslist searching I stumbled upon an ad for a 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 listed for $2,900 out of Long Island, New York. If you haven’t been paying attention to the market, to find any fox body Mustang right now listed for $3,000 is quite impressive. You can only imagine how much my eyes lit up when I saw it had the running 5.0L V8 engine with the 5 speed manual transmission. This is a hatchback body style.
That’s right, the ad says this thing runs. I will say from the pictures, it does look like it’s in a bit of rough shape. To be fair, the owner does say the Mustang has been “sitting for a while so it needs a little tlc”. Looking at the photos, it’s going to need some body work for sure along with a paint job. The interior looks complete and might just need a clean up from what I can see in the photos. Not bad for a Mustang that is 32 years old and has “been sitting for a while”. Apparently the odometer on this thing reads 66,000km and it is finished in red.
For those not familiar, being this is an LX model it might be less desirable than a GT model but honestly I would prefer it. You’re still getting 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and a quarter mile time of 14.9 seconds with the 5.0L V8 engine under the hood. The LX trim level is basically a GT with less stuff in it which might not necessarily be a bad thing.
