Recommended interior cleaning products

Spring is in the air and it’s time to finally clean the inside of your car! Whether your car is extremely dirty on the inside or if it’s pretty much brand new and just lost the new car smell, there are a ton of products out there for you to use. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best ones we’ve used on our vehicles.

General Interior Cleaner – CarGuys Effective All-Purpose Interior Car Cleaner

This is a great multi-surface cleaner that will work for your entire car interior. They do advertise this as being able to clean all surfaces including leather and fabric but I recommend just keeping it to the plastic trim and panels.

Window Cleaner – Stoner Invisible Glass

Easily the best window cleaner of all time. I not only use this for my vehicles but for any glass surface. It’s incredibly effective and leaves a streak-free finish.

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – Armor All Oxi-Magic Interior Car Cleaner

Armor All Oxi-Magic Interior cleaner is the result of Oxi and Armor pairing up together for a carpet cleaner. This will penetrate deep and dissolve stains, it leaves carpet looking fresh.. and it smells great!

Leather Cleaner – Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Conditioner

This is a two product kit from Chemical Guys that is a must have for anyone with a leather interior. The one bottle is a cleaner which actually boosts the leather strength and appearance due to its pH balance. The conditioner has a built in stain guard which binds to the leather fibers and minimizes the ability of oils and dirt to get into it.

Interior Scent – Chemical Guys Leather Scent

I personally don’t like car fresheners or other scent products that attach to vents. That is why I was pumped when I discovered Chemical Guys leather scent which comes in a spray bottle. You can simply spray the floor a few times and you are good to go. The scent smells like leather (duh!) and it’s perfect because it’s not overpowering at all.

Brushes – Any

There are several different types of brushes and you should get a set of both boar’s hair and horse hair brushes for different areas of the interior you will want to clean. For any carpet scrubbing, make sure to use a stiff bristled brush. Much like scrub pads, you can use any brand and product you want for these, they are all the same.

Microfiber – Chemical Guys MIC-507-06

Chemical Guys make some premium products for a reasonable price and their microfiber towels are no different. I like they aren’t finished with any chemicals or harsh substances, which means they won’t react poorly to any chemicals you decide to use on your vehicle.

Scrub Pad – Any

Honestly find which ever non-abrasive scrub pad you can get. Just please make sure you are using a new one and not one that has been used for other cleaning in your home.
