This is a pretty cool find for anyone but if you are a fan of square body GM trucks, you’re going to love it. The Canadian government is auctioning off a 1986 GMC Suburban C/K 2500 up in Pinawa, Manitoba and the current bid is just $830.. Canadian. This truck has the High Sierra trim level and is equipped with the 5.7 V8 motor and 4WD. Last odometer reading in 2016 was 158289 kilometers. It is finished in blue with blue interior.
The truck isn’t perfect, after all it is 35 years old. The auction listing details some known problems:
- Winch is not working
- There is rust
- Needs a battery
- Needs tires
- Instrument cluster was changed over, does not show the correct mileage
These trucks are known to have issues with dashboards and instrument clusters so it’s not completely strange that someone changed it out. While this would be a red flag on a newer vehicle, it’s not deal breaker for a project truck. If you are interested in bidding, head over here.
