The E39 (1998-2003) BMW M5 is arguably one of the most iconic sports sedans to come out of the last 30 years or so. We have covered it extensively and how rare it is to find decent examples in such good condition. Keep in mind this was a vehicle that did 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and completed a Nurburgring lap time in 8:20 in 1998!
The example we are featuring today is a 2001 vintage with just 17k miles on the clock. This BMW is finished in the iconic Titanium Silver Metallic (354) exterior with an all black interior. It has the legendary 4.9L V8 engine and is paired with the 6-speed manual and a limited-slip differential. This M5 has a clean registration history with it being registered in Florida, Georgia, and New Jersey. It is unique in the sense that it was previously sold on BaT in 2021. This BMW currently has a clean New Jersey title.
Some notes from the auction listing:
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 is equipped with individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS continuously variable valve timing. It was factory rated at 394 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 3,800 rpm, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Work in June 2022 is said to have included a coolant flush, and oil change, and changing the transmission fluid and differential fluid.
