The BMW M5 E39 has become a unicorn of sorts in the used car market. They were only produced from 1998 to 2003 and all of them were made in Germany. The BMW E39 M5 is generally considered one of the greatest sports sedans of all time and this is now making the vehicle a sort of collectable. it is the first M5 to have used aluminum front suspension components and a multi-link rear suspensions. This combined with the legendary 4.9L S62 V8 engine made the vehicle incredible powerful. It is estimated 20,482 E39 M5s were made worldwide although it’s unknown how many remain. I can tell you that it’s getting significantly hard to find these vehicles in good shape, as many have them have been abused or not maintained after they fell into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc hands.
However, today I am here to tell you there is a mint E39 M5 available in Canada. This example in particular is a 2000 vintage and has just 66,200 kilometers on the clock (approximately 33,000 miles). It is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and of course is powered by the 4.9L V8 engine putting out 400 horsepower. This one has been well maintained and comes with service records including a recent refresh of the suspension. The seller notes it has fresh ground control complete coilover system, all subframe and suspension bushings have been replaced, a UUC Motorwerks shifter kit, and a restored paint job.
You can find all the details here. Currently priced at $119,000 Canadian.
