If you are in the market for a new truck and want something with a little more, uh military feel to it, then you should check out the Canadian Military’s latest listing. That’s because the military is auctioning off one of there 2008 Sterling Acterra flat bed trucks.
This example is a 2008 vintage with a 26 foot bed, and is 4×4. The truck is powered by an Cummins 8.3L L6 Diesel engine, which is good for 400hp and 690lb feet of torque. The transmission is semi-automatic and the brakes are air brakes. The best part about this truck? It has just 7827km and it’s finished in army green!
The listing notes that the truck runs with a boost due to a weak battery and although the body looks in good shape it does have some scratches, rust and dents. The truck was a Department of National Defence (DND) Military vehicle so it has never been registered provincially.
You can view the listing here, currently with a bid of $10,000.
